To ensure that the SmartDebit Pulse portal meets our customers’ requirements, we have created different user authentication levels.
These provide different access levels to the separate features within the SmartDebit Pulse portal and restrict access for certain users.
Please see below a breakdown of each user authentication level.
Pulse Create Only
Our Create Only function allows a user to solely create new Direct Debits on the portal. They will be unable to view or edit any Payers and will only have access to the Direct Debit Instruction page. Please see below a screenshot of what a Create Only user would see upon log in.
Pulse View Only
Our view only function allows a user to view all Payers on the portal but they will not have access to create or edit a Direct Debit, this includes our Uploads feature. A View Only User will also not have access to Reports.

This is our standard role that we will provide to all users unless advised otherwise. It allows a user full access to the portal enabling them to create, edit and view Direct Debits and provides access to the Reports.

This role is the same as our SDA-Basic role however SDA-Manager has access to create a new user on the portal. This will appear in an additional ‘Users’ tab at the top of the Pulse portal.
