When processing a Credit file through SD Direct, you will be required to Approve, Authorise and Submit once the file has been imported.
As a user you can complete all of these three stages at once however if you wish to have multiple users review the file before submission, we have introduced 3 different user authentication levels; SDD-Basic, SDD-Authorise & SDD-Submit.
You can have any combination of the below user authentication levels or alternatively, you can have access to complete all 3 stages in one.
SDD-Basic will allow a user to import the file into SD Direct and to Approve the file once validation is complete.
Once the file has been approved, a notification will be sent to the SDD-Authorise user. This will indicate that the file is ready for review and authorisation. If the user is happy with the file, they can select Authorise.
After the file has been Authorised, a notification will be sent to the SDD-Submit user , which will allow them to review and finally Submit the Credit file.
Once the file has been submitted, a notification will be issued to SmartDebit advising that there is a file for us to submit to Bacs on your behalf. Once this has been completed for you, the final stage ‘Complete’ will populate green.
Please note that the lead time for a Credit file is 2 working days. Therefore, if you were to submit the file on Monday, this would Credit the relevant account on Wednesday. If you are working to these lead times, the file must be submitted to SmartDebit by 4pm.
